DIY Crepe Paper Chandelier

During the making of some paper pom-poms I decided to get creative and make a crepe paper chandelier.
I used a large roll of crepe paper (from Hobby Lobby), a large 16" paper lantern (also from Hobby Lobby) and just a little Elmer's glue to create this beauty. It was pretty easy to make although it can be a bit time consuming so you'll need patience to complete it.

I cut a bunch of 7" strips of crepe paper. I used the whole roll but I didn't cut it all at once. I would cut a sizeable amount, then glue them to the lantern. Cut more, glue, etc. It kept me from doing the same task over and over again. Ya know, break up the monotony. When gluing you only need the smallest amount because remember you're gluing tissue paper to paper. Start at the bottom and work your way up.
Before you know it, you'll end up with this...
I absolutely love it. What do you think? I made another one using petal shaped tissue paper cut-outs using the same process....
