The Dresser make-over continued

Okay, I did some work on my dresser this past weekend adding legs. This was a small challenge for me seeing that I don't do much wood-working kind of projects. Anyhow, I made a trip to Home Depot to buy some plywood, a wood beam and the legs along with the hardware. The beam and plywood were cut to the size(s) I needed. Next step... attach the legs to the bottom of this dresser.
Just so you know the legs are 6" high.
Okay, the bottom of my dresser is open with a slight opening on the bottom backside of it. I need to make a sturdy foundation to 1. have something to attach the legs to and 2. have the needed support for the weight of the dresser. I first built out the kick-plate on the bottom-front by adding a 1"x4" board.

After doing this I noticed something that would be a little speed bump for me... the little rounded feet already attached to the bottom of the dresser. I had to remove them because my wood will not lay flat if they are left in. They were on pretty tight so I had to take a hammer and nail to try to pry them up. Once they were loose, I used a flat head screwdriver to remove them the rest of the way.

Once that was done I began adding more support to the inner (bottom) walls of my dresser... including the opening on the bottom back. After this is done I placed my final piece on top and nailed/screwed it into place.

Next step... (this was probably the easiest step) actually adding the legs. You have to have the hardware to attach the legs. It makes life so easy. I first pre-drilled some holes so that screws easily went in. From there I attached the hardware.

Now, the legs (which already have screws in them) are attached to the hardware.

I think it turned out great. What do you think? Next, I will add some moulding and I think I will stain the wood a light stain color. I've been thinking of doing other things too... just brainstorming... like, adding mirror all over or adding that leather material to the sides with moulding around it. If you have any ideas you'd like to share please do. Stay tuned for the finished product...
