When this idea came to life it was a MAJOR success. I let my daughter choose 3 of her friends to have over for her paint party and she was so excited. What's funny is I gave her the choice of having a birthday party at home or at a place like Monkey Joes and surprisingly she chose home before even knowing what I would do. I'm glad we did!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EHere's what I did...  I got \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/shop.hobbylobby.com\/products\/kraft-let-s-party-pocket-invitations-198143\/\"\u003Ethese invitations from Hobby Lobby\u003C\/a\u003E and printed the party information on them using my color photo printer.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/shop.hobbylobby.com\/assets\/1\/14\/DimRegular\/198143-a_1.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/shop.hobbylobby.com\/assets\/1\/14\/DimRegular\/198143-a_1.jpg\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u0026nbsp;  \u003Cbr \/\u003EI bought a few supplies... \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/shop.hobbylobby.com\/products\/studio-edge-stretched-canvas-multi-pack-528505\/\"\u003Epacks of canvas\u003C\/a\u003E from Hobby Lobby, \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.walmart.com\/ip\/Kids-Craft-Assorted-Paint-Brushes-25-Pack\/19613465\"\u003Epaint brushes\u003C\/a\u003E and a \u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/www.walmart.com\/ip\/Deluxe-Premium-Paint-Set-24pk\/20975764\"\u003Epack of small paint pots\u003C\/a\u003E from Wal-Mart. I found an adjustable height table from Sam's which worked perfectly for all 4 girls to paint on. The painting occurred outside of course and the weather was absolutely perfect. My rainy day plan was to open my garage and set up everything in their but thankfully, it was a beautiful day. I found some little cute metal pails in the $1 section of Target which worked perfectly for the paint brushes. A friend from my home town made the cutest tutu for my daughter. They played dress up, watch Disney Junior and had SO MUCH FUN! One project I'm determine to do is to create a queen size winged back headboard for my master bedroom. I already got my feet wet completing my first diamond tufted headboard. I actually ordered it online and was able to get free shipping which meant no driving around to pick up all 7 yards that I ordered. (I know, 7 yards is a lot) My next step will be to begin making my buttons. I still need to purchase my other supplies which will happen sooner or later, I'm hoping. I'm currently debating on my bed frame... whether to make it myself, have someone else make it or purchase it. sigh... I have yet to make up my mind on this. I kinda want to make sure my frame has been established and in place so that my headboard measurements are accurate. \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EAfter reading many blogs and having my prior headboard making experience, I'm confident enough in myself to know that I can pull this off. This time I will space out my buttons a little more. It took me forever and a day to tuft my last headboard simply because it had about 50 buttons. I couldn't do them all in one day because the tufting made my fingers tired. I could've saved my fingers if I had cut holes into my foam. Places run out of good reservation times when it comes to spring birthday parties.
